Colima | Cayaco Rio de Lumbre
The Client
La Cervecería de Colima is a Mexican company located in "El Trapiche", in Colima. Clinging to its cultural roots and regional conditions, this brewery dedicates its work to creating the highest quality local artisan products for Mexico and rest of the world.
The Objective
Launch two new products for the Cerveceria Colima family's fixed collection: Cayaco and Río de Lumbre, highlighting their attributes and notes through the visual communication characteristics.
The Solution
The inspiration for Anti Fine Dining comes from a series of experiences and self-knowledge of the founding chef. An art deco typeface with a classic style was employed, conveying the elegance that fine dining represents. Orange colored accents communicating the joy and chaos that comes with the act of eating were added to the identity. The fly-shaped character design shows an unexpected twist on the project’s image by adding an element of self-mockery.
Our design proposal responds to the brewery's existing brand system. It maintains standardized typographic elements leaving room to highlight each product's attributes and personality.
Cayaco, lager from the tropics, a light, clean and refreshing beer where the flavor of the malt stands out with a floral aroma. This beer is represented through fresh colors and graphics that evoke its nature.
Río de Lumbre An IPA from the West Coast that exalts aromas of various tropical fruits from this garden under the Volcano, such as pineapple, mandarin and coconut. We chose warm and dark tones with different colors on the lid accentuating the uniqueness of the Colima family.

La Cervecería de Colima es una empresa mexicana ubicada en "El Trapiche", en Colima. Aferrada a sus raíces culturales y condiciones regionales, esta cervecería dedica su trabajo a crear los productos locales artesanales de más alta calidad para México y el resto del mundo.
El Objetivo
Lanzar dos productos nuevos para la colección fija de la familia de Cerveceria Colima: Cayaco y Río de Lumbre, destacando sus atributos y notas a través de las características de su comunicación visual
Nuestra propuesta de diseño responde al sistema de marcas ya existente de la Cervecería. Mantiene elementos de acomodo tipográfico estandarizados pero deja lugar para destacar la personalidad y atributos de cada producto.
Cayaco, lager del trópico, una cerveza ligera, limpia y refrescante donde el sabor de la malta resalta con un aroma floral. Esta cerveza se representa a través de colores frescos y gráficos que evocan a su naturaleza.
Río de lumbre Una IPA de la Costa Oeste donde exaltan aromas a diversos frutos tropicales de este jardín bajo el Volcán, como piña, mandarina y coco. Elegimos tonos cálidos y oscuros con diferentes colores en la tapa acentuando la singularidad de la familia Colima.
